Tiffany stone is a varying mixture of opalized fluorite and elements resp. minerals like anhydrite, beryllium, calcite, chalcedony, cobalt, dolomite, feldspar, manganese oxide, quartz and rhodonite

Colors: mainly violet, blue and white. Additional colors can be yellow, orange, brown - not green
Transparency: opaque
Luster: variable

Discovery: 1969
Name: from its pattern which sometimes reminds one of Tiffany lamps because of the black veins of manganese oxide, combined with various mineral colors
